Developed for Europe and manufactured at the Kubota’s production facility in Japan, the all new M40 Series is a true Kubota thoroughbred.

Succeeding the very popular ME Series, these next generation tractors -spanning 60 to 95hp – were available in dealerships from May.

Re-engineered, restyled and powered by Kubota’s Tier III compliant, low emission direct injections diesel engines, the lightweight, short-wheelbase M40 tractors will appeal to groundcare professionals in the amenity sector, and offer a choice of four Horsepower variants (60, 70, 85 & 95) with factory fitted cabs.

All models in the new M40 range feature Kubota’s latest Tier III compliant, 4 cylinder E-CDIS (centre direct injection system) engines, with the two larger models – M8540 and M9540 – being turbo charged. These high performance, low emission engines certainly live up to Kubota’s reputation for efficiency by delivering unrivalled fuel economy, and minimising noise and vibration levels. This excellent fuel economy is matched with a 110 Litre capacity fuel tank enabling many hours of work without refuelling.

The M40 Series is equipped with a Hydraulic Shuttle for smooth progressive take up of the drive, and responsive, clutchless directional changes, ideal for front loader work in particular. With a 36F/36R speed range incorporating Dual Speed – a half gear splitter also featured on the Kubota’s larger M108S 108hp machine – changes on the move are quick and simple. The M40 Series’ offers outstanding manoeuvrability and ground clearance. Kubota’s unique bevel gear drive front axle, excellent steering angle and limited Slip Differential offers exceptional turning, and enables the operator to maintain a stable travel speed should the drive wheel slip in wet or variable conditions. Electro-hydraulically operated 4WD is standard across the range. To maximise braking effectiveness, the M40 Series automatically engages 4WD when the brakes are applied during a 2WD operation and the hydraulic wet type disc brakes retain high performance efficiency even after repeated heavy duty work.

Kubota offers a Hydraulic, Independent PTO delivering 540 or 1000 rpm* output. The M40 Series also boasts a lift capacity of 4100 Kgs and a hydraulic pump flow of 64 litres per minute, to allow efficient operation of a multitude of implements, including loader work. They come with two auxiliary hydraulic valves as standard. Autohitch and Hydraulic trailer braking are also standard on the two larger models – the M8540 and M9540. Kubota has developed a new ergonomic control lay for the M40 Series offering a more spacious operating platform. All levers, including an Integral loader joystick, are conveniently located to the right of the driver for ease of access and simplicity of operation whilst the fully suspended seat, tiltable steering column and Air Conditioning (fitted as standard on all models) provide comfort and reduce fatigue. The wide rear fenders protect the tractor and visibility is improved all round by the M40’s rounded glass, front and back Halogen work lights and corner post exhaust pipe.

The M40’s new dashboard layout, with digital LED panel, provides vital information about your tractors performance and the sleek new one piece bonnet promotes easy access for simplicity of maintenance.

To capitalise on the versatility of the M40 Series, Kubota offer a choice of two matched loaders that are manufactured in their own purpose built factory in the USA, ensuring that you get maximum performance from your tractor.

The new LA1153 and LA1353 loaders have been redesigned for increased lifting power, improved durability and enhanced visibility. The loaders feature Kubota’s Quick Attach/Detach mechanism and Euro type Quick Hitch for simple, straightforward attachment/detachment of implements without the use of tools. The single lever operation with hydraulic self levelling, hydraulic Quick Coupler and optional 3rd function valve further enhance efficiency, and Kubota’s Shockless Ride absorbs loader shock for smoother operation whilst travelling and reduces operator fatigue. The high grade hydraulic cylinder tubes are neatly protected inside the loader boom for greater visibility and reduced wear and tear.

Kubota has responded to the changing needs of UK and Irish amenity markets to deliver an exceptional new range, built on proven technology and the M40 series reaffirms Kubota’s commitment to course maintenance and groundcare professionals.
