Laying claim to be in the top 20 of the oldest golf clubs in the world, Peterhead Golf Club is set in the idyllic surroundings of Craigewan Links on the northeast coast of Scotland.

To help maintain the 27- holes at the club Head Greenkeeper, Hugh McLatchie, has recently purchased a Jacobsen G-Plex III greens mower from local Ransomes Jacobsen dealer, Fairways GM of Kinross.
“I’m a firm believer that staff should have an input into the selection of equipment that they use and that way they are more inclined to respect it and look after it properly. We had a demonstration by Fairways and we were all agreed that the GPlex III has developed into a superb mower. The quality of cut from the Jacobsen cutting units is second to none and the swingout facility on the rear unit gives it a huge advantage over the competition, when it comes to maintenance. Definitely a very good machine.”
A further addition to the Peterhead fleet is a Jacobsen LF- 3400 light fairway mower and with 27 holes to contend with it is proving to be a robust purchase.
